A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU) and several institutions and businesses to establish the Ukraine-EU Hydrogen Corridor. The collaboration involves Gas TSO of Ukraine, Stadtwerke München, Wien Energie, Open Grid Europe, and other companies. The initiative aims to leverage Ukraine's renewable energy potential for integration into the European energy market. Plans include developing renewable energy and hydrogen production in Ukraine to enable transit via pipeline to countries like Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany after 2030. The current pipeline network will be repurposed to transport green hydrogen produced in Ukraine. This effort signifies a strategic move towards sustainable energy practices and signifies a positive step in the direction of energy transition in the region.
