Hydrogen Ukraine has announced its participation in the EastGate H2V project, a transnational initiative under the Horizon Europe framework to advance renewable hydrogen solutions. The project, backed by a €9 million fund and involving 22 partners from 7 European countries, aims to establish a comprehensive hydrogen ecosystem focusing on production, distribution, and usage in mobility and industry sectors. This initiative signifies a significant step towards decarbonization efforts and reducing CO2 emissions. Hydrogen Ukraine's involvement includes projects like the H2U Zakarpattia Hydrogen Valley, positioning Ukraine as a key player in Europe's hydrogen economy. The region's renewable energy resources and strategic location will play a crucial role in supplying clean hydrogen. Additionally, the Central European Hydrogen Corridor project aims to connect Ukraine with the EU through a hydrogen transport network, enhancing the integration of the EastGate H2V project. Key highlights of the EastGate H2V project include plans for hydrogen infrastructure for buses, ships, and aircraft, cross-border collaboration to scale up hydrogen production, research for replication in other regions, and a communication plan for public awareness. As Ukraine solidifies its position in the EU hydrogen market, Hydrogen Ukraine remains dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions for a sustainable future.
