Vauxhall has unveiled the pricing and specifications for the new hydrogen version of its Movano van, aiming to provide an alternative to diesel and electric models in the UK market. Priced at £70,400 excluding VAT for the L3 H2 form, the Movano Hydrogen becomes more affordable at £66,450 with the UK Government’s Plug-in Van Grant applied, offering a competitive option for fleet users. With a range of 311 miles, the van targets those covering longer distances and in need of quick refueling, as the high-pressure fuel tanks can be filled in just five minutes. Powered by hydrogen, the electric motor generates 110hp and 302lb ft of torque, complemented by an 11kW lithium-ion battery for acceleration boosts. The Prime specification includes a 10.0-inch touchscreen, navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other features like automatic air conditioning and keyless entry. Orders for the Movano Hydrogen can be placed starting from spring 2025. Furthermore, Vauxhall is diversifying its eco-friendly lineup by testing a hydrogen-powered version of the Vivaro van, expanding the options for environmentally conscious commercial vehicle users in the UK and Europe.
