Adani Energy Solutions (AESL) has secured a significant power transmission project worth Rs 2,800 crore in Gujarat, particularly crucial for green hydrogen and ammonia production in Mundra. The project, facilitated through a tariff-based competitive bidding mechanism, aims to support the development of environmentally sustainable hydrogen and ammonia production in the region. AESL will upgrade the Navinal substation, install large transformers, and build a 75 km long transmission line to enhance capacity, contributing 150 cKM of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity. With a network expansion planned, AESL's project execution timeline is set at 36 months. This achievement marks the sixth order for AESL in the fiscal year 2024-2025, elevating their total order book to around Rs 57,561 crore. The project's success is seen as a significant step in India's energy transition strategy, promoting the use of green hydrogen as a clean energy solution. It is expected to establish Mundra as a key hub for green hydrogen and ammonia production, aligning with national renewable energy targets and sustainable development goals.
