AM Green, a Greenko Group company, has partnered with SJVN Ltd's subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited, in Hyderabad, India, for a significant renewable energy project. Under the agreement, SJVN will supply 4,500 MW of carbon-free energy to AM Green's green ammonia facilities. This partnership, one of the largest investments by SJVN Green in a renewable energy project, aims to ensure a steady supply of green energy through solar and wind power integrated with pumped hydro storage. SJVN plans to execute the project in three phases, with the first phase set to deliver 1,500 MW within two years. The collaboration aligns with SJVN's renewable energy expansion goals in India and supports India's targets for green hydrogen production. AM Green, backed by the founders of Greenko, is targeting 5 million tonnes per annum of green ammonia production by 2030, contributing significantly to India's green hydrogen ambitions. The company is also on track for a final investment decision on its first 2 MTPA green ammonia project, positioning itself as a leader in the sector. AM Green's partnerships with NTPC Renewables, Gentari, and investments from entities like GIC further solidify its position in the market.
