The collaboration includes ambitious plans for developing 25 GW solar/wind projects, 10 GW pumped storage projects (PSPs), and 0.5 MMTPA green hydrogen production. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, highlighted the importance of this partnership in paving the way for the state to become a prominent clean energy hub. He mentioned that the project is part of the new Integrated Renewable Energy Policy 2024, attracting substantial investments and positioning Andhra Pradesh as a frontrunner in the green energy revolution in India. Naidu also emphasized the job creation potential, with over one lakh employment opportunities expected to be generated through this initiative. Additionally, NTPC's subsidiary recently launched a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) worth Rs 10,000 crore, which witnessed strong investor interest. The IPO, with a price band of Rs 102-108 per share, was fully subscribed on the third day of the share sale, receiving bids for 60,68,16,774 shares against 59,31,67,575 shares available. The Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) portion was oversubscribed by 2.70 times, demonstrating confidence in the company's renewable energy ventures and the potential for growth in the sector.
