Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar highlighted Andhra Pradesh's pioneering role in electricity reforms and renewable energy initiatives under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's leadership. The state government is focused on expanding the renewable energy sector, with the development of a Green Hydrogen Hub project in Pudimadaka in collaboration with NTPC and NREDCAP. This project aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a key player in the global clean energy market by producing and exporting 3,000 tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030. Additionally, initiatives like establishing 500 compressed biogas plants and signing agreements for large-scale renewable power generation projects are expected to bring significant economic benefits and employment opportunities to the state.
