The company has announced strategic collaborations to drive innovation in green hydrogen technology, particularly in the aviation and mobility sectors. One of the groundbreaking initiatives includes partnering with BluJ Aerospace, ANERT, and Cochin International Airport Limited to develop a hydrogen-powered Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aviation ecosystem, aimed at decarbonizing air transport and creating sustainable urban mobility solutions. This initiative aligns with India's goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070. BPCL is also working with KPIT Technologies to integrate hydrogen-based transportation solutions in Kerala, supporting the adoption of clean energy in public and commercial transport. Additionally, BPCL has launched the 'Emerge' initiative under the BPCL Ankur Fund to support startups focused on energy efficiency and city gas distribution, driving innovation and accelerating the development of next-generation energy solutions.
