She aims to improve the delivery of antibodies to the central nervous system to enhance motor skills in diseased subjects. Yudong Xue, from EPFL, Switzerland, highlighted his research on nanocoatings that have diverse applications, including hydrogen production, wastewater treatment, and healthcare. His coatings have shown superior performance in electrolytic water splitting for hydrogen production, environmental catalysis for treating wastewater, and extending the lifespan of medical oxygen concentrators. Melisa Benard Valle, from the Technical University of Denmark, focuses on developing nanobodies to counteract dangerous toxins in snake venoms. Her research aims to create a more effective and affordable antivenom with reduced side effects, particularly beneficial for regions with limited access to healthcare resources. The EuroTech Future Award emphasizes the importance of innovative research in addressing global challenges and fostering a sustainable future.
