Godrej Enterprises Group's Process Equipment business is making a significant investment in its manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The Rs 200 crore investment aims to expand the facility's capabilities in producing critical process equipment for sectors like hydrogen, nuclear, geothermal, refinery, and petrochemical. This expansion, part of a larger Rs 500 crore investment, will boost the annual manufacturing capacity to 30,000 MT. The enhanced facility will feature advanced infrastructure such as a dust-free enclosure, dedicated bays for internals production, and an extended fabrication yard. Hussain Shariyarr, the Executive Vice President & Business Head of Process Equipment, highlighted the importance of adapting to cleaner energy solutions in the evolving energy sector. The facility's upgrade will enable the production of large-scale, advanced equipment for clean energy applications, aligning with global energy transition goals. Noteworthy additions include an extended fabrication yard for complex equipment, an advanced heat treatment furnace to reduce carbon emissions, and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies for improved precision and efficiency. The facility, focused on sustainability, is certified as Zero Waste to Landfill and utilizes over 80% automation. It facilitates direct export of oversized equipment and has a strong global presence, with exports to 40 countries across six continents, emphasizing markets in the Americas and the Middle East. Overall, this investment signifies a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and technological advancement in the clean energy sector, positioning India as a key player in the global energy transition.
