Noida-based Gruner Renewable Energy has secured a funding of $60 million to expand its Compressed biogas (CBG) plants network across India, including the establishment of one of Asia's largest CBG plants in Navsari, Gujarat. The company aims to focus on enhancing research and development efforts to boost energy efficiency and biogas production accuracy, alongside exploring new business verticals such as sustainable aviation fuel and green hydrogen. Furthermore, Gruner plans to scale up CNG retail outlets and has secured projects worth ₹15 billion to set up CBG plants with a total production capacity of 88,000 tons per year in locations like Ayodhya, Satna, Balasore, Yavatmal, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, among others.
