The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, in partnership with IREDA, organized a pre-event conference for Global Wind Day in Bhubaneswar, highlighting India's progress in renewable energy development. Although Shri Lalit Bohra was unable to attend, his speech emphasized the government's focus on renewable energy advancement, particularly in Odisha, which holds significant wind power potential. Shri Pradip Kumar Das, CMD of IREDA, underscored Odisha's green energy potential and the state's role in spearheading green hydrogen projects. IREDA has provided substantial financial support to renewable energy projects in India, with a notable portion directed towards Odisha. Das highlighted Odisha's Renewable Energy Policy 2022, aimed at attracting investments in clean energy, including green hydrogen and floating solar technologies. The conference urged renewable energy developers to seize the opportunities in Odisha and other states to contribute to sustainable national development.
