HP Green R&D Centre, the research facility of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) in Bengaluru, has partnered with Engineers India Ltd (EIL) for the commercialization of its indigenous Hydrogen Pressure Swing Adsorption (HP-PSA) technology. This collaboration, aimed at advancing India's journey towards self-reliance in technology, aligns with the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' vision of the Indian government. HPCL will be the Technology Licensor while EIL will be the exclusive Technology & Engineering Partner for marketing and commercializing the HP-PSA technology in India. The HP-PSA technology, already operational at Visakh Refinery for over nine years, positions HPCL as India's first and the world's third Hydrogen PSA Technology Licensor. The partnership is expected to indigenize the hydrogen technology landscape in India, contributing to the nation's energy independence. HP Green R&D Centre has a history of developing innovative technologies and products, with numerous patents and cost-saving inventions in the refining sector.
