Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has joined hands with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to conduct real-world testing of hydrogen-powered vehicles in India. The initiative, part of Hyundai's commitment to sustainable mobility, involves testing the Hyundai Nexo SUV on Indian roads for a two-year period, covering 40,000 kilometers. The partnership will evaluate the vehicle's performance, maintenance, reliability, efficiency, and total cost of ownership, aiming to determine the feasibility of hydrogen vehicles for Indian consumers. Beyond testing a single vehicle, Hyundai and IOCL are working towards establishing a hydrogen infrastructure in India.
