Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese launched a Renewable Energy Partnership during the 2nd India-Australia Annual Summit at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The partnership aims to enhance cooperation in priority areas such as solar PV, green hydrogen, and energy storage, with a focus on boosting two-way investment in renewable energy projects. Both leaders expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the growth in bilateral trade and cooperation in defense following the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA). PM Modi also extended an invitation to PM Albanese for the QUAD Leaders' Summit in 2025, underscoring their commitment to strengthening cooperation through the Quad for global good, covering areas like addressing pandemics, maritime security, climate change, and technology development. Additionally, PM Modi engaged in discussions with Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font and Argentine President Javier Milei during the G20 Summit.
