Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, met Singapore's President Tharman Shanmugaratnam in New Delhi to discuss the advancements made by India in clean transportation, energy transition, and road infrastructure. The meeting focused on exploring collaboration in sustainable aviation fuel, green hydrogen, and ammonia. The ministers also agreed on the importance of enhancing relations between India and Singapore. President Tharman engaged in discussions with Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, and Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, to strengthen ties across diverse sectors such as fintech, digital technologies, and industry. The visit coincided with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore, marked by a special logo unveiling ceremony. The logo, representing the enduring partnership, incorporated elements from both countries' national symbols. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met with President Tharman to discuss further enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership by focusing on cooperation in sectors like semiconductors, digitalisation, and culture. This visit and the discussions reflect the commitment of both countries to deepen their ties and work together towards a sustainable future.
