The 10th meeting of the India-EU Energy Panel recently took place in Brussels, co-chaired by representatives from both sides. They reviewed the progress of the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership and discussed priorities for the upcoming 3rd Phase (2025-2028), with a strong focus on green hydrogen cooperation. Joint initiatives were undertaken in nine sectors, including frameworks for green hydrogen policies, infrastructure development, and regulatory cooperation. Both India and the EU committed to enhancing collaboration in areas such as offshore wind, regional connectivity, energy efficiency, and climate diplomacy. They also extended their partnerships with international bodies like the International Solar Alliance, International Energy Agency, and G20 to advance clean energy goals. The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of India and the EU to drive the energy transition towards sustainable and renewable sources, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in achieving these common objectives.
