India and Singapore are enhancing their partnership in various sectors, with a strong focus on green energy and economic collaboration. During the visit of Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to India, discussions included establishing a green energy corridor between the two countries. This corridor aims to promote green hydrogen, green shipping, and semiconductor manufacturing, with specific links planned from Tuticorin and Paradip in Odisha. Additionally, plans are underway to set up a data corridor between GIFT City in Gujarat and Singapore to facilitate secure data exchange for financial institutions. The collaboration also extends to areas like industrial parks, petrochemical complexes, and skill development, with a key focus on semiconductor manufacturing and aerospace maintenance, considering the significant potential for job creation and value addition. The talks also touched upon the situation in Myanmar, expressing concerns over the violence and instability in the region. This partnership highlights the commitment of both countries to fostering sustainable growth and regional cooperation.
