Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is set to commission a green hydrogen plant in Panipat, Haryana, within two years, with a production capacity of 10,000 tons per annum. During the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, Arvinder Singh Sahney, Chairman of IOC, highlighted the significant progress made in the green hydrogen plant project. The plant aims to bolster India's green energy mission and contribute to a sustainable and carbon-neutral future. Additionally, IOC is focusing on expanding its city gas distribution (CGD) business by providing more connections to households, increasing CNG stations, and boosting the supply of piped natural gas (PNG). Despite having no active plans for acquisitions, IOC remains committed to enhancing its operations. The IOC Chairman expressed confidence in India's ability to handle American sanctions on Russia, stating that it has a limited effect due to India's multiple energy sources.
