Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has delivered a cutting-edge green hydrogen fuel cell bus to the Indian Navy as part of a collaboration to advance hydrogen and fuel cell technology for heavy-duty electric mobility. The Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged in New Delhi, with high-ranking officials from both entities present. The Indian Navy, aiming to deploy environment-friendly transportation, expressed gratitude for being chosen as a partner in this initiative. Indian Oil, through this milestone, showcases its commitment to innovation and green technology, emphasizing the support for defense forces with forward-looking solutions. With 15 fuel cell buses already operational in Delhi-NCR and Gujarat, the project targets the assessment of fuel-cell electric buses for public transit in challenging climatic conditions, focusing on performance, longevity, and operational reliability.
