The Government of India has approved new scheme guidelines aimed at promoting the production and utilization of green hydrogen through innovative methods and pathways. Titled 'Scheme Guidelines for implementation of Pilot projects for production and use of Green Hydrogen using innovative methods/pathways in the Residential, Commercial, Localized Community, Decentralized/Non-Conventional applications,' the scheme aims to explore and validate the potential of green hydrogen as a clean and sustainable energy source. The key objectives of the scheme include supporting the development of innovative technologies for green hydrogen production, promoting the use of green hydrogen for decentralized applications like cooking, heating, off-grid electricity generation, and off-road vehicles, and validating the technical feasibility and performance of green hydrogen in various settings. The scheme also emphasizes ensuring the safe and secure use of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
