JSW Infrastructure Ltd., the second-largest port operator in India, is considering the construction of green hydrogen and ammonia facilities at its ports. The joint managing director, Arun Maheshwari, mentioned that they are exploring opportunities in this sector. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways has selected important ports in India as potential export centers for green hydrogen and ammonia. Adani Ports & SEZ has also declared plans for environmentally friendly fuel offerings. JSW Energy, a sister company of JSW Infra, is looking at acquisitions in the green energy space. The company aims for higher growth rates than industry standards and focuses on improving connectivity and ensuring client loyalty. Additionally, Maheshwari discussed the strategic significance of different terminals and highlighted ongoing development projects. The company plans to enhance capacity by completing ongoing terminal projects and aims to increase utilization rates in the coming years.
