PM Narendra Modi's upcoming two-day visit to Saudi Arabia will primarily focus on strengthening the existing energy, trade, investment, and defence ties between the two countries. The agenda includes discussions on pressing regional and global issues such as the West Asia situation and the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Despite the challenges in the region, both leaders are expected to talk about projects related to the India Middle-East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC). Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are slated to be signed, with a particular emphasis on green hydrogen, which signifies a positive step towards enhancing cooperation. The visit also aims to deepen the strategic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia, with a focus on facilitating Saudi Arabia's proposed $100 billion investment in India. The talks are likely to cover not only economic aspects but also defence ties, potential military exercises, and high-level engagements to strengthen overall relations.
