Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Visakhapatnam and launched projects amounting to over Rs 2 lakh crore, in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan. The projects included the foundation stone laying for the South Coast Railway Zone and various industrial developments. Noteworthy among these was the integrated green hydrogen hub project at Pudimadaka, Nakkapalli mandal, with an investment of Rs 1.85 lakh crore. This hub, developed in collaboration with NTPC Green Energy Limited, is a significant step towards green energy and a sustainable future. It is the first Green Hydrogen Hub under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, aiming to produce 1,500 TPD Green Hydrogen. Additionally, the Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli and the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area are anticipated to generate numerous job opportunities and spur economic growth in the region. The Krishnapatnam Industrial Area, a part of the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, is expected to attract substantial manufacturing investments and create around 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
