The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with H2Global Stiftung to collaborate on promoting green hydrogen initiatives. The partnership aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, design market-based mechanisms, and enhance global cooperation in the green hydrogen economy. Through mutual learning and cooperation, SECI and H2Global seek to accelerate the global adoption of green hydrogen technologies, aligning with India's ambition to become a key export hub for green hydrogen. A key aspect of the agreement is the development of joint tender design concepts tailored to India's renewable energy goals to facilitate the creation of sustainable and scalable green hydrogen projects. By engaging in this collaboration, SECI gains insights into global hydrogen market dynamics and stakeholder engagement, strengthening India's green hydrogen initiatives and positioning the country in the international market. The MoU signing event, attended by notable dignitaries, including officials from SECI, H2Global, and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, signifies a significant step towards positioning India as a leader in the green hydrogen sector.
