During French President Emmanuel Macron's recent visit to Egypt, Egypt and France finalized a significant EUR7 billion agreement aimed at developing a green hydrogen production facility. The agreement focuses on energy collaboration between the two countries. Macron emphasized the strategic partnership agreements' importance, covering sectors such as health, transport, and education to enhance mutual stability amid regional challenges. The European Parliament also supported Egypt by approving loans amounting to EUR4 billion and proposing additional assistance of up to EUR5 billion. Macron and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi shared a dinner in a Cairo souk to underscore the significance of bilateral relations beyond politics, strengthening ties. This collaboration and financial aid aim to address mutual challenges and strengthen the partnership between Egypt and France.
