Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, the Minister of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology in Oman, announced ambitious plans for advancing green technology in the country. The Ministry aims to establish the first hydrogen station in Oman, launch a unified platform for electric chargers, and replace government vehicles with electric ones. Additionally, there are plans to expand the infrastructure for charging electric vehicles and introduce the green lanes project for trucks using hydrogen. For 2025, the Ministry plans to implement various projects such as the Omani language model, Artificial Intelligence Studio, National Open Data Platform, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center. The government's digital transformation program for 2025 includes launching a unified national portal for e-government services and ensuring 80% of basic priority government services are accessible online.
