The article discusses how Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), Mexico's state-owned utility and the largest utility in North America, has decided to expand its deployment of GenCell's hydrogen-powered backup solutions across Mexico. The utility ordered tens of additional GenCell REX™ backup power units, in addition to those already deployed, to provide climate-resilient, zero-emission, long-duration Tier One backup power to harden its substations. These units are supported by GenCell GEMS™ energy management software, offering immediate power during grid outages.
