Stargate Hydrogen has expanded its hydrogen operations in the Nordics through a new collaboration with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The Estonian alkaline electrolyser manufacturer views Finland as an ideal location for expansion due to its infrastructure, active projects, and market openness. The partnership aims to validate large-scale electrolyser technology, conduct collaborative R&D, and pave the way for scalable commercial hydrogen solutions in Europe, with Finland serving as a testing ground. Rainer Küngas, the Chief Technology Officer at Stargate Hydrogen, expresses optimism about growth in green hydrogen production and developing innovative decarbonization solutions for challenging sectors in Finland. VTT's capabilities will enable thorough product validation under real-world conditions. Additionally, Stargate Hydrogen has been chosen as the technology supplier for a significant electrolysis project with Fortum in Finland.
