Oman is taking significant steps towards achieving its goal of zero neutrality by 2050 with the establishment of the Oman Net Zero Center. Led by His Excellency Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, the Ministry of Energy and Minerals has initiated this crucial project to oversee the implementation of zero neutrality strategies and support both government and private sectors. The center's mandate includes accelerating the execution of net-zero initiatives, collaborating with various organizations, and enhancing public awareness through campaigns. By focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability, Oman aims to solidify its position as a leader in environmental commitments. The center will play a pivotal role in developing national strategies, monitoring progress, and offering technical guidance to reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, it will manage certification processes, maintain carbon emission inventories, and engage with the community to garner support for net-zero objectives. Through strategic partnerships and innovation, Oman is paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future.
