The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy in India has issued guidelines for funding testing facilities, infrastructure, and institutional support under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. This scheme, with a budget of Rs.200 crore till FY26, aims to address gaps in existing testing facilities for green hydrogen components and processes. The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) will oversee the implementation. The initiative focuses on developing quality testing facilities to ensure sustainability and safety in green hydrogen production and trade. The rationale behind the scheme is to bridge the gap in testing infrastructure, establish new facilities, and upgrade existing ones to achieve self-sufficiency in green hydrogen testing and certification.
