AM Green, a prominent Indian green energy company, has joined forces with DP World, a global logistics leader, to establish infrastructure for exporting green ammonia and methanol. The partnership, formalized through an MOU in December 2024, plans to export one million tonnes each of green ammonia and methanol annually. This collaboration capitalizes on AM Green's 1.3-GW green hydrogen-to-ammonia project in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, which is on track to become a major green ammonia production facility. The initiative goes beyond mere export, encompassing the development of a logistics and storage ecosystem, including bunkering infrastructure and port modernization in key locations like Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia. This alliance combines AM Green's green energy expertise with DP World's logistics network to support the global shift towards a low-carbon economy. AM Green aims to achieve five million tonnes of green ammonia production by 2030, with the Kakinada project playing a vital role. The collaboration with DP World is essential for reaching international markets and advancing the decarbonization efforts in sectors like shipping and industry.
