The Delegation of the European Union to the United Arab Emirates, in partnership with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), organized a "Green Hydrogen Workshop" during the World Future Energy Summit and IRENA General Assembly. This event aimed to bring together policymakers, business leaders, and industry experts from the EU, GCC, and beyond to discuss sustainable energy solutions and green hydrogen development. The workshop explored regulatory frameworks, market opportunities, and investment strategies to unlock the potential of green hydrogen, particularly in decarbonizing industries such as heavy industry, shipping, and aviation. Speakers at the workshop, including H.E. Lucie Berger, EU Ambassador to the UAE, and Mr. Gurbuz Gonul from IRENA, expressed positive sentiments about green hydrogen's transformative potential and the importance of international cooperation in advancing the green hydrogen economy.
