The company plans to use wind and solar energy to extract hydrogen from the water and export it to Europe. EverWind Fuels will bear the cost of designing, engineering, and constructing all infrastructure related to the water supply. Despite intending to withdraw 9.5 million litres of water daily from Landrie Lake, the company reassures that it will not impact local water resources, as industrial demand for water from the lake has decreased. Thorough environmental and hydrology assessments have been performed to ensure a sustainable water supply. Commercial negotiations are in progress to find a buyer for the hydrogen produced.
