Gentari has entered a long-term Power Purchase Agreement to supply 650 MW of carbon-free energy to power AMG Ammonia's green ammonia facilities in India. The project, to be executed in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, will involve the setup of 2400 MWp of renewable energy capacity, including solar and wind energy integrated with 350 MW / 2100 MWh energy storage. This setup aims to provide firm and dispatchable green power to AMG Ammonia's facilities, ensuring a reliable power supply matching the demanding requirements of a green ammonia plant throughout the year. The initiative by Gentari and AMG Ammonia is aligned with the Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RNFBO) framework, enabling the targeting of customers in Europe apart from other regions. AMG Ammonia's ambitious goal to produce 5 million tpy of green ammonia by 2030, which is equivalent to a substantial amount of green hydrogen, showcases a significant step towards achieving net zero targets in India and OECD markets. The partnership also focuses on developing supply chains to connect green molecules with global demand centers, emphasizing innovations in shipping and logistics for efficient international market delivery. Gentari's integrated capabilities in the clean energy value chain indicate a strong commitment to sustainable energy solutions and global market connectivity.
