India and the European Union have solidified their collaboration in the green hydrogen sector through an extensive roadmap. The 10th India-EU Energy Panel meeting held in Brussels marked the adoption of a work plan for the third phase of the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership 2025-28, with a significant focus on green hydrogen cooperation. The ministry stated five priority areas for collaboration, including green hydrogen, offshore wind energy, regional connectivity, electricity market integration, smart grids, energy efficiency, and energy and climate diplomacy. The partnership aims to assess infrastructure development feasibility, regulatory aspects, technology cooperation, and supply chain strengthening within the green hydrogen sector. Initiatives in the energy transition domain were reviewed, indicating progress in joint initiatives covering 51 activities across nine sectors. The commitment to green hydrogen cooperation was further highlighted through joint support for research in clean energy projects and participation in international conferences. The partnership's long-term research commitments and participation in events like European Hydrogen Week showcase a deepening bond in advancing clean and green technologies.
