INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has inaugurated India's maiden Green Hydrogen manufacturing Plant at Asahi India Glass Limited's (AIS) greenfield float glass facility in Soniyana, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The plant, with an electrolysis process, is capable of producing up to 190 Tons of Green Hydrogen per Annum. This pioneering venture marks the debut utilization of Green Hydrogen in the Float Glass manufacturing process in India, promoting sustainable glass production. INOXAP will oversee the plant's operations, ensuring a continuous supply of Green Hydrogen to AIS over a 20-year period. Initially, 95 TPA Green Hydrogen will be delivered to AIS, with future plans for expanding the supply. AIS has made a strategic investment in a solar power plant to facilitate the generation of Green Hydrogen from renewable energy sources, aligning with their commitment to sustainability. Siddharth Jain, the Managing Director at INOX Air Products, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with AIS, highlighting the positive impact on CO2 emissions reduction at the Soniyana facility.
