TKIL Industries Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with SoHHytec SA, a Swiss-based innovator in hydrogen production, is venturing into the green hydrogen sector in India. This strategic investment aligns with India's ambitious target of producing 7.5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030. TKIL Industries will leverage SoHHytec's cutting-edge artificial photosynthesis technology, powered by renewable sources like solar and wind energy, to produce hydrogen efficiently. The collaboration will focus on deploying this technology in key industrial sectors such as steel, fertilizers, cement, and transportation to promote the adoption of green hydrogen and support India's renewable energy objectives and the National Hydrogen Mission. TKIL Industries also plans to establish a localized supply chain for manufacturing green hydrogen equipment in India, aiming to enhance domestic production capabilities and reduce reliance on imports. Dr. Saurabh Tembhurne, CEO of SoHHytec, emphasized the scalability and cost-efficiency of their technology, highlighting its potential to revolutionize hydrogen production in India. The green hydrogen produced through this partnership is anticipated to significantly reduce transportation costs and contribute to India's efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070. With a focus on sustainability and emission reduction, TKIL Industries sees this collaboration as a pivotal step towards decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries in India.
