The Development and Reform Commission of Jiangsu Province has recently issued an approval for a groundbreaking project in Yancheng City – an annual production of 1 million mt of green methanol. This new construction project, situated in the Coastal Industrial Park of Binhai Economic Development Zone, signifies a significant step towards sustainable production practices. The project, led by Zhonghua Chemical Yueda (Jiangsu) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., is designed to consume 558,000 mt of biomass pellets, 180.8639 million kW·h of electricity, and other renewable resources in its operations. By utilizing biomass pellets and renewable energy sources, the project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize environmental impact. Upon completion, the project is expected to have a positive effect on energy consumption and contribute towards a more sustainable future for the region and the industry.
