In Amman, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh and China Three Gorges International (CTGI) Renewable Energy Partners signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct feasibility studies for green hydrogen projects in Jordan. The MoU sets a target of producing 200,000 tons of green ammonia yearly, with a focus on collaboration between the Jordanian government and CTGI. This partnership aims to position Jordan as a regional and global hub for hydrogen production and export, contributing to the country's economic development vision. The initiative aligns with Jordan's efforts to become a center for green energy production by leveraging renewable resources and its strategic location. The signing ceremony highlighted the commitment of both parties to drive investments in the hydrogen industry and build a sustainable energy future for Jordan.
