Arrangements are being made to lay the foundation stone for the integrated Green Hydrogen Hub of the NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station near Pudimadaka in Anakapalli, India, with an estimated cost of Rs 85,000 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the project, reflecting the government's focus on green energy. The NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has partnered with the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to establish this hub, which aims to provide affordable and sustainable green energy solutions while creating employment opportunities for around 25,000 individuals. Despite previous delays caused by land allocation issues, the project is moving forward, demonstrating a positive step towards achieving the country's energy goals. Alongside the Green Hydrogen Hub, the Prime Minister will also launch other development projects in the region, including a new railway zone and a hydro power project that will contribute to the energy sector's transformation in Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, the interest expressed by major companies like ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel in establishing a substantial steel industry in Anakapalli district highlights the potential for increased industrialization and job creation in the area, aligning with the region's economic growth aspirations.
