Oman has launched a dedicated digital platform, 'gHad,' to monitor and enhance the country's readiness for its green hydrogen ecosystem. Led by the Green Hydrogen Ecosystem Readiness Steering Committee under the guidance of H E Eng Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, the platform aims to track the progress of 26 key initiatives identified during the Ecosystem Readiness Lab towards achieving Oman's 2030 green hydrogen production targets. By focusing on areas like permits, contractors, workforce development, logistics, and local content, 'gHad' aims to transition Oman's hydrogen strategy from planning to structured execution. The platform serves as a central system bringing together public and private sector stakeholders to drive transparency, governance, and data-backed decision-making. Hydrom, as the orchestrator of Oman's Green Hydrogen Strategy execution, plays a crucial role in structuring projects, managing allocations, and promoting in-country value by creating job opportunities, developing supply chains, and expanding educational resources. The 'gHad' initiative is poised to strengthen investor confidence, foster collaboration, and propel Oman as a competitive player in the global green hydrogen economy.
