Singapore-based Sembcorp Green Hydrogen Pte Ltd has entered an agreement with Japanese firms Sojitz Corporation and Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc to supply green ammonia from its 200,000-metric tonne capacity plant in India. The Heads of Terms agreement sets the stage for a definitive green ammonia offtake agreement, following the completion of a feasibility study and securing land for the facility in India. The project was showcased at the IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum, emphasizing a collaborative effort between Japan, Singapore, and India to promote a low-carbon supply chain and transition to a clean economy. Sembcorp's role as the lead developer highlights its commitment to energy transition, utilizing renewable energy to produce green ammonia.
