The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has partnered with Broaden Energy to establish Abu Dhabi's first hydrogen equipment manufacturing complex, valued at over AED 1 billion. This collaboration is in line with Abu Dhabi's Industrial Strategy (ADIS) and aims to boost the hydrogen energy sector while enhancing sustainability efforts. The initiative seeks to position Abu Dhabi as a competitive industrial hub in the region, driving economic growth and providing cutting-edge industrial solutions. By aligning with the UAE National Hydrogen Strategy and the Net Zero 2050 Strategy, the project aims to propel the UAE towards becoming one of the top 10 hydrogen producers globally by 2031, with an annual capacity of 1.4 million tonnes. The establishment of this manufacturing complex is expected to not only create job opportunities but also strengthen Abu Dhabi's energy infrastructure and reinforce its reputation as a center for industrial excellence and technological innovation.
