Hangyang has inaugurated a new refueling facility in southern Shanxi Province, China, known as a 'Hydrogen Comprehensive Energy Island.' This initiative provides a diverse range of services including hydrogen, electric charging, and LNG refueling for Jinnan Steel's logistics fleets and nearby factories. The site has the capacity to fuel more than 400 hydrogen-powered trucks daily, leading to a substantial reduction of 120,000 tonnes in annual carbon emissions. By utilizing high-purity hydrogen obtained from coke oven gas through pressure swing adsorption (PSA) and delivering it via pipeline, Hangyang has significantly minimized the supply costs to just 30% of conventional methods. This project marks Hangyang's second successful collaboration with Jinnan Steel, the first being the establishment of China's largest commercially operated hydrogen refueling station in 2022. The development of such sustainable energy solutions underscores the commitment of both companies towards reducing carbon emissions and fostering innovation in the field of energy.
