De Nora, an Italian multinational company specializing in electrochemistry and sustainable technologies, is joining forces with Maffei Sarda Silicati to establish a green hydrogen production plant in Ossi, Sardinia. The project, backed by PNRR funds and spearheaded by Maffei Sarda Silicati, will see the deployment of De Nora's Dragonfly small electrolyzer with a 1 MW capacity on a former industrial site. This initiative aims to generate 50 tons of green hydrogen annually to fuel Maffei Sarda Silicati's industrial operations, contributing to decarbonization efforts by replacing fossil fuels. The plant will be powered by a new 1.5 MW photovoltaic system, ensuring a sustainable energy cycle. The partnership has received praise from local authorities, including the Mayor of Ossi, highlighting the importance of renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
