Cyient has secured a strategic contract to assist Green H Bodø in the establishment of a hydrogen production and distribution facility at Langstranda in Bodø, Norway. The initiative, a collaboration between GreenH and Luxcara, will focus on developing infrastructure for green hydrogen production from renewable energy sources. The project is crucial for advancing Norway's renewable energy goals, with a specific emphasis on supplying green hydrogen to the maritime sector and heavy transport industries. The hydrogen facility will cater to Torghatten Nord AS under a long-term agreement, providing green hydrogen fuel for the Vestfjorden ferries. This endeavor is considered a cornerstone project in Norway's green energy transformation within the maritime sector. Commencing civil construction in the autumn of 2024, the partnership between Cyient, GreenH, and Luxcara highlights a significant advancement towards implementing an innovative and sustainable energy solution. Cyient's responsibilities encompass offering owner's engineering and detailed plant engineering services, utilizing their expertise in green and renewable energy engineering to streamline project execution and improve efficiency throughout the project's lifecycle.
