Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a collaboration with Nippon Steel Trading Corporation to research and establish a hydrogen utilization model in Thailand with a focus on local production for local consumption. The partnership aims to explore the feasibility of producing green hydrogen through solar power generation within the Rojana Industrial Park in Thailand. This hydrogen will be used for stationary power stations and FC-powered trucks among companies in the industrial park. The project is supported by a Japanese government subsidy and aligns with Thailand's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Nippon Steel Trading, with its expertise in the industrial park business and renewable energy development, will collaborate with Honda, a pioneer in hydrogen technologies, to create a hydrogen ecosystem from production to utilization.
