Invenergy has announced the successful commencement of commercial operations at its Sauk Valley Hydrogen facility in Rock Falls, Illinois. This marks a significant milestone as the company's first clean hydrogen project. Utilizing power from a co-located solar facility and Ohmium International's electrolyzer technology, the Sauk Valley facility has the capacity to produce up to 40 metric tons of clean hydrogen annually and can store up to 400 kilograms on-site. The hydrogen produced is already being used as a turbine generator cooling agent and can be transported offsite for various applications.
