Advancing Engineering Strength and Durability: Ukrainian-Polish Workshop on Modern Approaches in Structural Assessment
Key Ideas
  • The workshop aims to address the importance of hydrogen energy in the transition to clean energy sources, including its impact on structural materials and the development of new technologies resilient to hydrogen.
  • Participants will discuss modern methods to assess the dynamic behavior and strength of engineering structures under various conditions, focusing on improving reliability and safety.
  • Various techniques such as theoretical, experimental, and numerical methods will be explored to analyze the stability, durability, and performance of materials in different environments.
  • The event will provide a platform for sharing research findings and experiences to enhance the strength and durability of modern engineering systems.
The Ukrainian-Polish scientific and practical workshop will take place online on 4-5 February 2025 and is organized by the Department of Strength of Materials and Structural Mechanics at Lviv Polytechnic National University. Co-organized by institutions from Ukraine and Poland, the workshop aims to share experiences in developing modern methods to ensure the strength of engineering elements and structures. It will cover topics such as problematic issues and prospects for the development of hydrogen energy, including its impact on materials and the development of new technologies. Discussions will also focus on dynamics and strength of engineering structures, addressing various operating conditions and the impact of external factors on material performance. Participants can contact Oksana Hembara for more information and to receive the link to join the online meeting.
